We will make every effort to fulfil your request. Please know that all requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Vilamendhoo accommodates children only in the Garden Rooms and Beach Villas. The maximum number of guests per room is three (3) adults or two (2) adults with two (2) children in Garden Rooms and Beach Villas.

Adults aged 18 years and older are accommodated in all room categories. Our adults only facilities include Ahima Buffet Restaurant, as well as the Sunset Bar and pool. In Jacuzzi Beach Villas and Jacuzzi Water Villas, the maximum number of guests per room is three (3) adults.

The following age categories determine the resort’s child policy and the maximum capacity per room:

• Infants aged 0 - 1.99 years;
• Child aged 2 - 14.99 years;
• Adult aged 15 years+

* Infants are considered children when determining the maximum guest capacity per room.

Payment

We accepts cash (Euro, GBP, US$, CHF and SGD), credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro and UnionPay) and debit cards. Travellers or personal cheques are not accepted. Kindly note that all purchases will be charged to the guest’s room, as only reception is authorised to process payments. Guests are kindly advised to settle their bill on their last night at the resort to avoid any delay upon check-out on the day of departure.

Yes, the team at reception can assist you with upgrading your meal plan or you can send an email directly to our reservations team at reservations@vilamendhoo.com.

Upon availability, we offer the option to upgrade your buffet restaurant from Funama to Ahima Restaurant at an additional charge of $15 per couple per day. Terms and conditions apply.

Arrivals

Vilamendhoo is located in South Ari Atoll, which is 88 km from Velana International Airport. Your seaplane transfer is a scenic 25-minute flight.

Yes, after clearing customs and picking up your luggage, exit into the Arrivals hall, then turn right and walk a few steps to the Crown & Champa Resorts Counter (CCR) #59, where an airport representative will meet and greet you. The representative will direct you to the Domestic Airline check-in counter. Once checked-in, you will then be transferred to Vilamendhoo's Seaplane Lounge. Kindly note that access to the Seaplane Lounge upon arrival is complimentary for all guests. Upon departure, guests have the option to enjoy its comforts at an extra charge.

The check-in time is 14:00 and check-out time is 12:00 noon.

On the island

The island of Vilamendhoo is 900 metres long by 250 metres wide, around 55 acres*.

*Kindly note this measurement is excluding the Jacuzzi Water Villas' jetty.

The Maldives enjoys a warm, tropical climate cooled by a refreshing tropical breeze throughout the year. The average air temperature is 30 degrees Celsius (86 Degree Fahrenheit) and hardly changes. The average water temperature is 29 degrees Celsius (84 Degree Fahrenheit). There can be some infrequent light rain from May to November. Rain lasting more than an hour or two is rare.

Yes, beach towels are provided in your room and at the swimming pools pools at no charge for use at the beach or by the pools.

The "no shoes, no news" motto at Vilamendhoo reflects the casual atmosphere of the island. The resort’s bars, restaurants and reception areas require a more moderate dress style.

During meal times, gentlemen are required to cover their upper body and shoulders, and to wear shorts. Ladies are required to dress with appropriate, non-transparent clothing. Swimwear is not allowed in any of the restaurants or at the reception.

When visiting local islands, both ladies and gentlemen are required to cover from shoulders to knees at minimum, and to not wear anything transparent.

Public nudity is prohibited on all islands.

The Fitness Centre is opened daily from 06:00-12:30 / 14:00-20:00.

As with all fitness facilities, you are required to wear a gym outfit and clean gym shoes in our Fitness Centre. Gym shoes are sneakers with rubber soles. Sandals, bare feet and socks-only are not permitted, neither are bathing suits.

Each dish on our buffet contains a label indicating its ingredients.

Our chefs will try their best to accommodate your special requests. For any specific dietary requirements, kindly notify us via email to reservations@vilamendhoo.com.

Yes, there is a clinic on the island providing General First Aid assistance and regular consultations during designated opening hours: 09:00-13:00 / 17:00-20:00. Charges apply.

Our resident doctor is based on the island and available 24/7 for emergencies.

Specialised treatments are available in the local hospitals in Male' City.

Yes, there is a lending library where you can take or donate books and magazines.

Yes, a flat-screen cable TV is provided and features more than 30 channels, including selected foreign languages. A DVD player is also available upon request.

Vilamendhoo's electricity is 220 Volts, 50 Hz and electrical outlets accommodate standard UK style three-pronged flat pin plugs. Adapters may be borrowed from Housekeeping or purchased at the Gift Shop.

The resort offers a free wireless connection to the Internet in your guest room and throughout the island, except the restaurants. A guest computer with printer is also available.

There is a good international roaming service on the island.

Mosquito nets are available upon prior request at reservations@vilamendhoo.com.

If you are particularly sensitive to mosquito bites, then we recommend using a mosquito repellent, which is available for purchase at the Gift Shop.

Yes, a safety box is provided in each room at no charge. We do recommend using it to store your valuables as the resort is not liable for any misplaced items.

Upon availability, babysitting can be arranged at an additional charge, with a 24-hour advance notice.

For safety and privacy reasons, drones and other flying devices of a similar nature are not allowed in Vilamendhoo. The General Manager may grant special permission for resort-specific promotional photography purposes. In such cases, guests will be notified in advance.
