Join our Manta & Turtle Excursion for a unique experience of the fantastic underwater world of the famed Maldives. This archipelago island nation features thriving marine life and coral reefs, and although not guaranteed, you can take the chance to see and swim with precious sea turtles and manta rays.
Rays are flat-shaped fish that eat plankton, molluscs and crustaceans. Manta rays can reach lengths of up to 8 metres. Like sharks, mantas must keep moving to prevent water from flowing over their gills.
Other types of rays in the South Ari Atoll include Black Spotted Eagle Rays, Torpedo Rays, Feather Tails and Guitar Rays. The best season to spot mantas is from June through to October at Manta Point.
This fantastic adventure is for swimmers only. Snorkelling equipment is available for rent from our Euro-Divers Dive Centre and can be purchased from our Gift Shop.
The Manta & Turtle Excursion is scheduled every Sunday and Thursday from 0830 – 1300
Price: USD 120 per person, with a minimum of 6 persons required; a maximum of 20 guests allowed.
The minimum age is 12. A parent must accompany all children under the age of 16.
