Our very first guests to the resort after its reopening on November 1, 2020 are already completing their Maldives vacations. Despite the safety precautions, the new normal holidaymakers are experiencing the best of the Maldives with Vilamendhoo, respiting on the island and enjoying the house reef and the diverse dive spots in South Ari.

Hi all,
My husband and I went to Vilamendhoo to celebrate our honeymoon after 7 months stuck at home in India due to COVID19 and we can only say nice things about our stay!
FOOD:
Absolutely heaven. Loads of yummy choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks were also good for AI (we went on an AI plus which we absolutely recommend)
ROOM:
We stayed in a jacuzzi water villa and the room was amazing! Waking up to those is something we’ll never forget. They cleaned the room on a daily basis as per our requirement, and it was tidy and clean throughout our holidays.
SERVICE:
Really nice, warm and professional staff. We read bad reviews on this matter before, but it is really a thing from the past. From waiters, to receptionists, cleaning staff, they were super nice and helpful.
DIVING:
We highly recommend to drop by the diving club and get as many dives as you can. The real beauty of Maldives is under water and AJ, Pierre and their crew will make it an unforgettable experience. We took the opportunity to get our Open Water PADI course done during our stay, and they made everything really easy for us (dives, exam, etc.) Really professional and cool people!
COVID19:
We were really worried prior to our trip on this matter, and we can only say we have never seen such a professional place dealing with COVID19 measurements. We were very few in the resort at that time, and all the staff always kept the social distancing, wore masks all the time and had disinfectant all over the place. They are trying hard to use cloth masks that their staff can comfortably wear all day to reduce their impact on the environment.
POINTS FOR IMPROVEMENT:
We saw a couple of people stepping on the corals, and, although this is a personal responsibility, the only point for improvement would be to reinforce the guidelines on how to take care on marine life.
Honestly, the experience could not have been better, we highly recommend this resort if you want to get away from the COVID19 and stay safe while enjoying the beautiful nature of Maldives and being taken care of by this amazing people. We hope to go back there soon!
