Greetings from Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa.

This month, I would like to take a moment to thank all our guests, partners, and colleagues for their continuous support. Our recent accolades prove our dedication to making our guests’ holidays meaningful. Vilamendhoo has recently been awarded as the Top Hotel Partner by Schauinsland Reisen, the Traveller Review Awards 2025 by Booking.com, and the Top 10% Travellers’ Choice Award 2025 from TripAdvisor. Our energy stays focused to make sure guests enjoy their happy times with us.

We are also preparing exciting activities to enjoy during the upcoming festive season. The month starts with World Reef Awareness Day, followed by World Environment Day on June 5 and World Ocean Day on June 8. These important days highlight our ongoing commitment to sustainability and protecting the natural island environment. We will run programs like reef, beach, and garden clean-ups and continue our efforts to reduce plastic and pollution.

Welcome to the eternal summer at Vilamendhoo Island. Forget your winter blues and hectic daily lives; come, and embrace the tropical experiences in the Maldives, as guests have done for the past 50 years. The Maldives celebrated the Golden Jubilee, the 50th anniversary of Tourism in the Maldives. We’re incredibly proud to be a part of the Maldivian tourism industry and to be able to share our rich Maldivian culture and history with all our guests.

Vilamendhoo’s sustainability efforts are continuous and have been recognized by Travelife for consecutive years, and we are happy to be officially Travelife Gold Certified again. At Vilamendhoo, we are continuously upgrading and improving our resort keep to provide exceptional accommodations, facilities, and services to our valued guests while being sustainable and greener.

This 20th October 2022, the culinary team will celebrate ”International Chefs Day”. This year’s theme is “growing a healthy future”, where our chefs will emphasize sustainable food and create awareness about eating healthy.

If you’re travelling as an extended family with young children, we have endless water and land activities to choose from. Guest can also go for a full-day Family Adventure excursion for wholesome family time or go for group snorkelling as part of an excursion.

Our Food & Beverage team is busy preparing for the Halloween party. Remember to bring your favourite costume if your stay falls on 31st October, and join us to dance the night away with a live band in a “spooky atmosphere”.

If you’re thinking about Valentine’s Day, the resort team has curated a romantic program created by our Food and Beverage team to be indulged in the most romantic ambience.
