The resort is blessed with nearly 50 dive sites, all situated within one hour by boat including the Maamigili Marine Protected Area and National Park where whale sharks are frequented.

Vilamendhoo's famous underwater garden - the house reef
The house reef of Vilamendhoo Resort is exceptionally beautiful and starts just a few feet away from the beach. The house reefs dense corral garden circles the island and extend over the narrow lagoon around the overwater villas on the western end.

Guests of all ages can stand from the beach or the jetty to experience abundant marine life. To admire the house reef in its full glory, one must snorkel in and get engulfed by shoals of colourful fish while you swim amidst the corrals.
Do not be surprised if you come across turtles and baby sharks (harmless) while you snorkel.
