Discover the Art of Mixology in Paradise: Vilamendhoo’s Captivating Cocktail Series

Let’s welcome to our Cocktail of the day. Our Vilamendhoo Mixology team has been working on a new series of cocktails that will leave a taste of freshness and a tropical breeze on your palate.

The concept of these cocktails was born with the idea of representing the colours of Vilamendhoo in our drinks. Vilamendhoo is an island characterized by its vibrant colours and fresh environment; therefore, we wanted to reflect the same vibe in our cocktails. Let’s have a quick review of the options in this series:

Guavapolitan

To start with an appetizer, we have the Guavapolitan; this cocktail represents a blend of Smirnoff’s Vodka, Triple Sec, Guava Puree, and Lime Juice. The drink is garnished with a wheel of fresh lemon and a bit of orange skin that contrasts the flavour of the drink, giving a tropical appearance.

Prosecco Smash

The Prosecco Smash is a refreshing type of cocktail based on Campari, orange juice, passion fruit puree, and the leading actor, the Prosecco. The garnish of this one is a red cherry and a slice of orange. This cocktail mixes tropical and citric flavours that go perfectly after a day at the beach to relax and enjoy the sun. “This one, for sure, will smash your senses.”

Red Alert

The red alert is one of the most complete cocktails when it comes to a variety of fruit flavours. It mixes cherry brandy, vanilla syrup, orange juice, and lime juice. As a garnish, we have a wheel of oranges representing our efforts not to overcharge the drinks; simple yet better, especially when you are on holiday!

Teppanyaki in Vilamendhoo – Dining in the Maldives

Looking for a unique dining experience in the Maldives? Let us recommend the overwater Asian Wok Restaurant at Vilamendhoo ‘s east end of the island that comes with the mouthwatering and exciting dining extravaganza of the Japanese Teppanyaki cuisine.

The chefs will grill, flip and cook tiger prawns, white fish, scallops, lobster, tuna, meats and an assort of fresh vegetables on a flaming table in front of you.

The Teppanyaki table at the Asian Wok Restaurant seats 8 guests and overlooks Vilamendhoos’ lagoon. Your choice of dishes can be selected from Asian Woks’ a  la carte menu to be prepared fresh, and your chef, in a theatrical display of dashes of fire,  prepare and served your dish right from the teppan hot plate. All menus are also served with salad, miso soup, vegetables and fried rice.

Teppanyaki is available daily at the Asian Wok Restaurant | Teppanyaki reservation must be made before 24 hours prior.

This January – Evening Activities

After a day of diving, snorkelling or sunning, here are activities guest can enjoy in the evenings at Vilamendhoo.

The Bars:
Three locations. Three ambiences.
The overwater Asian Wok, the pool front Hot Rock and the Sunset Bar are the top locations to chill during sunset. Vilamendhoo will also have a daily Sunset Cocktail Promotion from 1700hrs – 1845hrs.

Beach Dinners:
The resort has exciting dining events planned for the guests on the following days. Dinners will be hosted on the beach, under the starlit sky, in the ocean breeze.
Seafood Lovers Dinners: Every Saturday from 1900, a delight of al fresco surroundings at the Sunset Bar Beach. Enjoy fresh fish, scallop and crustaceans while dining under the stars.
Beach BBQ Buffet Dinner, 12th Jan: Serving deliciously grilled food options at Ahima Restaurant Beach
Bubbles and Lobster Dinner, 19th Jan: Indulge in freshly prepared lobster and a glass of sparkling champagne
Full Moon BBQ Buffet Dinner, 27th Jan: A grilled dining experience on the Ahima restaurant beach under the first full moon of the year.
