Greetings from Vilamendhoo Family!

With the ease of travel with no PCR testing requirement to enter the Maldives since last March, we have had the pleasure of having more of you visit us as first-timers and repeat guests are flying in to enjoy the bounty of sun, diving and family holidays. My team and I are happy to announce that we also re-started our weekly Repeater Cocktail Party held now every Wednesday. I want to thank you for taking the time to visit Vilamendhoo.

This April, we have an exciting lineup of events for our visiting guests. The culinary team had prepared a selection of exciting Beach Dinners experiences for you to enjoy, including a special Easter Sunday buffet, Full Moon BBQ delights and Seafood specials. For a tropical Easter, our team planned many wholesome family activities. Our younger guests will enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt, a Sand Castle Competition, and some fun games under the sun.

At Vilamendhoo, we champion sustainability. We will also join hands with the world in the pursuit to manage environmental change and observe ‘Earth Day’ on April 22, with this year’s theme ‘Invest in our Planet’. We will be sharing the highlight of the events on our social media channels. Follow and connect. Also, share your wonderful memories with us by tagging us.

New Year Greetings from Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa!

Our island is the perfect place to reflect on the year that has been, and what a wonderful year it was. We brought the year to a close in a flurry of festivities. Christmas at Vilamendhoo was a real success. It began with the arrival of our tropical Santa, a glorious performance by the in-house Christmas choir, a delightful cocktail party and ended the evening with a party and live music.

We pulled all stops for the Gala Dinner that followed, providing our guests with lavish and sumptuous gourmet dishes from around the world. For this, we received nothing but praise.

The festivities continued as we marked the New Year celebration in true Vilamendhoo style. Our Food and beverages crew, Chef Luca and his team worked round the clock to present a truly majestic New Year’s Gala Buffet Dinner.

Join us for the last month of 2021, for an extraordinary tropical festive celebration, with friends and family in the freedom of space. The Vilamendhoo team is designing full-day activities for Christmas and New Year. Our exciting festive program will take place from December 22, 2021, to January 3, 2022 and includes many activities and hearty rejoicing for guests of all ages.

For the magical festive celebrations and gala dinners, Vilamendhoo’s well experienced executive chef and culinary team are preparing holiday delicacies, luscious and themed buffets draped in buffet decorations and carvings by our food artists.

For New Year’s Eve, the theme is “White Party” with NYE Gala Dinners at Ahima & Funama Restaurants. After dinner, guests can join the open-air festival White-Party on the over-water Bonthi Bar deck to dance the night away with DJ Adil until midnight countdown. The team also has a New Year lucky draw organized after the countdown.

For guests who will stay close to home this December, we will be live-streaming the festive seasons on Vilamendhoo ‘s social media channels. For those who are planning to travel in 2022, we have early bird offers, including family-friendly deals.
